This week it was announced that essential carriageway repairs would be carried out on Wawne Road from Monday October 25.
The work will be carried out overnight, between 7.30pm and 6.30am and is expected to take up to a week to complete. The Wawne Road/Sutton Road (Wawne) roundabout will be closed off during these hours.
Councillor Dean Kirk, portfolio holder for roads, highways and transport, said: “The renewal of this section of Wawne Road is essential in order to provide a safe and even surface for traffic.”
