The annual Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs) were held tonight and although the ceremony took a different format to previous years, it still honoured some of the region’s best and brightest businesses and organisations.
Winners were announced across 15 categories celebrating a variety of businesses from the region’s tourism sector.
Pride in Hull took the award for Remarkable Tourism Event, Remarkable Restaurant of the Year went to the recently opened Rupert & Darwin and Remarkable Experience of the Year also went to a Hull business, with Hotham’s Gin School in Hepworth’s Arcade taking the award.
Councillor Dave Craker, portfolio holder for tourism, culture and leisure at Hull City Council, said: “Congratulations to all the fantastic winners and nominees. These awards demonstrate the incredible businesses and organisations we have in our region and why our tourism sector has such a bright future.”

The virtual awards paid tribute to winners and nominees with a host of videos as well as a special virtual presenter for the night, Blair Jacobs.
