A business in Cottingham has been fined for dumping waste in Hull.
Amazing Lets Limited of Dunswell Road, Cottingham, was prosecuted and ordered to pay £735 under Section 80 Environmental Protection Act 1990.
A further 10 Hull residents have also been prosecuted for environmental crimes.
Clare Hilton of St Giles Court was fined £830, Michelle Neild of De La Pole Avenue was ordered to pay £804 and Jade Gooding of Northfield Road was landed with a fine of £570 under the same act.
Muharrem Basyhurt of Anlaby Road, was prosecuted and ordered to pay £675 under Section 33(5) Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Alina Stefan of Malm Street, Amanda Robinson of Anlaby Road and Caroline Mitchell of Jipdane have all been ordered to pay fines of £305 each after being prosecuted under Section 110(2)(b) Environment Act 1995. Viorica Gheorghe of Rensburg Avenue was also fined £996 under the same act.
Ewelina Odrowaz, the owner of Istanbul Barbers in Chanterlands Avenue was prosecuted and ordered to pay £580 after pleading guilty to two offences, under Section 34(5) Environmental Protection Act 1990 and Section 47(6) Environmental Protection Act 1990.
And Ina Suncele of Hessle Road, was prosecuted and ordered to pay a total of £684 under Section 2(1)(b) Refuse Disposal (Amenity) Act 1978.

Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for waste management at Hull City Council, said: “Fly-tipping is an extremely anti-social behaviour and has a hugely detrimental effect on our city. This waste has clearly been deposited without any concern for the impact it would have in the local neighbourhood.
“People should take pride in where they live and we encourage residents to report any instances of fly-tipping so that we can convict offenders in the hope of reducing this anti-social behaviour.”
Hull City Council currently spends more than £250,000 every year on cleaning up after fly-tippers. Over 2018/19 local authorities across England dealt with over one million fly-tipping incidents. An increase of eight per cent from the 998,000 reported in 2017-18.
