Tenants from across Hull are celebrating after being crowned winners in this year’s annual garden competition.

The competition once again attracted a fantastic response, with entries received from all areas of the city. With colourful flower displays, carefully tended front gardens, wildlife-friendly outdoor spaces and thriving communal plots, judges were impressed by the creativity, hard work and dedication on show.
Gardening expert Jeannie Fewster led the judging panel, which faced the difficult task of selecting winners from a strong field of entries.
The competition recognises the pride tenants take in their homes and neighbourhoods, while highlighting the positive impact well-maintained gardens can have on local communities. Categories such as eco-gardens and communal gardens celebrate efforts to support biodiversity, create welcoming outdoor spaces and bring people together.
Congratulations to all of this year’s winners and thank you to everyone who entered and helped make the competition another success. The quality of entries was outstanding and reflected the care, pride and commitment that tenants invest in their gardens.
Winners will be invited to a special event at the Guildhall in December, where they will be presented with their prizes.
