Help shape the future of Hull City Hall

A call has been issued to hear from the community on the future of Hull City Hall.

Hull City Council is inviting residents, visitors, stakeholders and audiences to have their say by taking part in a new public survey.

As one of the city’s most iconic buildings, Hull City Hall has been at the heart of Hull’s cultural and civic life for more than a century, hosting concerts, comedy, community events, ceremonies and celebrations.

The council is now seeking feedback from users, audiences and the wider community to help shape the venue’s future and ensure it continues to meet the needs of residents and visitors for years to come.

Members of the public are encouraged to complete a short survey, sharing their views on their experiences of Hull City Hall, the events and activities they would like to see in the future and how the venue can continue to evolve and improve.

In addition to taking part online, residents can speak directly with the engagement team at the Hull City Hall Box Office to discover more information about the consultation and support on completing the survey.

Cllr Jackie Dad, deputy leader of the council said: “Hull City Hall is one of the city’s most treasured landmarks and a venue that means so much to so many people.

“Whether you’ve attended a concert, celebrated a special occasion, taken part in an event, or simply admire the building as part of Hull’s heritage, we want to hear from you.

“Your views will help us understand what matters most to our communities and will play an important role in shaping the future of Hull City Hall.

“I would encourage everyone to take a few minutes to complete the survey, speak to the team at the Box Office if you’d like to know more and make sure your voice is heard.”

The feedback gathered will help inform future planning and development of Hull City Hall, ensuring the venue continues to offer an outstanding experience for all.

The council will also seek external support to assist in creating a clear and deliverable vision to ensure it remains central to Hull’s cultural offering and visitor economy, whilst maximising the potential of this important asset and help to sustain its long-term viability.

The survey can be completed online here or visit the Hull City Hall Box Office to find out more and speak with members of the team.
