The Lord Mayor’s charity quiz night is taking on a new look, with two different quizzes to be held in Hull over the course of the civic year.
The first night will be staged on Saturday 12 September at Costello’s Bistro, Warners Health Club & Physio, 80-86 Pickering Road.
Doors will open at 7pm, with the quiz beginning at 8pm.
The Lord Mayor, Councillor Maria Coward, said: “Traditionally, this event has been done as a single quiz night at the Guildhall in March, but I’m looking to do things differently.
“I want to take things out into our communities, so we’re going to do two charity quiz nights – one in the west of the city, and one in the east later in the year.
“I’m sure both nights will be a lot of fun, with my chosen good causes benefitting from the money we’ll raise.”
Tables containing up to 6 people per team can be booked at a cost of £25 per table.
A raffle and tombola will also take place on the night, and quiz contestants can purchase refreshments at the venue.
All proceeds will go to the Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal Fund, which is this year benefitting Aim Higher and Automotive Skills Academy.
