Hull City Council is launching the third phase of delivery for its Community Highstreets project and is giving the public the chance to share their views on it once more.
Four more areas – Bethune Avenue, Dalsetter Rise, Sibelius Road and Spring Bank – will be targeted as part of the £6m scheme.
The citywide project, launched in 2025, aims to reinvigorate high streets by making them safer, cleaner, greener and more inclusive places, as well as attracting more people to visit and reducing the number of empty shops.
Community Highstreets is a grassroots and community-led initiative, with all improvement works coming from direct responses of those who have provided feedback.

Following successful engagement undertaken for the previous phases, the council’s project teams will be hosting a series of in-person events for those who live, work and use those areas.
These events are:
Spring Bank – Solidarity Hull CIC, 91a Spring Bank, HU3 1AA – Monday 27 July, 11am – 1pm
Sibelius Road – Costello Stadium, Anlaby Park Road North, HU4 6XQ – Thursday 6 August 9:30-11:30am
Bethune Avenue – Gower Park Fun Day Event, Burcott Garth, HU4 7LE – Friday 14 August, 12 – 3pm
Dalsetter Rise – Spring Cottage Café, 20 Dalsetter Rise, HU8 9JF – Thursday 20 August, 11:30am – 1:30pm

Cllr Ted Dolman, portfolio holder for communities at the council, said: “It is pleasing that the council has been able to swiftly move onto phase three of its Community Highstreets project and reinforces the council’s commitment to making Hull a safer, healthier and fairer place.
“There has been positive engagement in abundance with stakeholders during phases one and two and we look forward to welcoming further feedback.
“Community Highstreets is an opportunity for people to improve the day-to-day of their local area and so I urge the public to have their say once again.”
Phase three begins today, Monday 6 July, with an online survey also available here until Monday 24 August for those who cannot attend the in-person events.
