Half-term is on the horizon, and school-age children and young people have a programme of free activities to look forward to.
Healthy Holidays is back for another February half-term bite-sized programme of fun, with a variety of sessions and free, nutritious food included.
The programme will run from Saturday 14 February to Friday 20 February. Anyone is welcome to attend, and the activities on offer include:
- Multi sports
- Cooking and crafts
- Family water play
- Cricket
- 3v3 futsal
- Junior swims
- SEND programme
Councillor Tock, portfolio holder for children’s services, said: “February half-term is one of the hardest times to keep children and young people entertained. It’s still winter, the weather can be poor, and many are still feeling the financial strain after Christmas.
“That’s why it’s so important that programmes like Healthy Holidays Hull exists. Every family gets the opportunity to enjoy a wealth of activities, and there’s no need to worry about the cost. And the food is nutritious, so parents can feel assured their children and young people are being well looked after.
“I’d urge all parents and carers to have a look at the website and see what’s on offer – there’s bound to be something their child will enjoy, no matter what they’re into”.
