Lord Mayor’s Civic Service To Take Place

The Lord Mayor and Admiral of the Humber is to hold his Civic Service at Hull Minster.

It will take place on Sunday 16 July, with the service commencing at 2:00pm.

A civic procession will take place beforehand.

It will be led by the Humberside and South Yorkshire Army Cadet Force Band, and will set off from The Guildhall – from Hanover Square – at 1:45pm.

The service will end at approximately 3:15pm, and the procession will then return to The Guildhall.

All are free to attend the service, with attendees asked to be seated in the Minster by no later than 1:45pm.

The Lord Mayor, Councillor Kalvin Neal, said: “I’m looking forward to seeing as many people as possible at the Minster, where the communities of the city will come together.

“The civic service is a religious celebration of the importance of the work between the City Council and the church in supporting together our community.

“The service is sure to be one of the highlights of my time as Lord Mayor.”

The city centre will be taken over for the annual Pride in Hull event this weekend.
