After tens of thousands of people flocked to Hull for the two stunning Coldplay shows during August, the Lord Mayor’s annual Music Quiz might arguably provide September’s pick of the pops.
Teams of up to 6 people will pit their musical wits against each other during the event at the Guildhall on Tuesday 30 September, where the fun starts at 7pm.
Tickets cost £15 per person, which includes a supper of pie, chips and peas, with a vegetarian option available.
All proceeds go to the Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal Fund, which this year is supporting STAND and One Punch Hull & East Yorkshire.

The Lord Mayor, Councillor Cheryl Payne, said: “We’ve just had the biggest band in the world in our city – so I want this to be the biggest Lord Mayor’s Music Quiz ever!
“There might just be a Coldplay question or two, but I hope the quiz covers all eras of music, including the fantastic singers and groups that have come out of our city.
“We rightly celebrate people like Mick Ronson, Paul Heaton and Calum Scott, and I dare say they’ll be covered on the night!”
Tickets are limited for this popular event and are available on a first come, first served basis.
