A campaign to promote safe use of the internet is being supported in Hull.
Safer Internet Day 2019, which took place on February 5, was designed to highlight positive uses of technology to create a safer online community.
It saw hundreds of organisations across the country get involved and join a conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.
The slogan for this year’s campaign is ‘Together for a better Internet’.
Councillor Mike Thompson, portfolio holder for community safety, said: “The internet is a vital part of everyday life for everyone from children to the elderly. We are increasingly vulnerable as we socialise, shop, and bank online more and more.
“Hull City Council supports Safer Internet Day and we urge all residents to take care when using the internet.”
