This week, the first edition of Hull CC News in 2026, the council’s newspaper, is being delivered to all homes across the city.
The publication covers plenty of local news about your city, whilst it is also jam-packed with seven pages of events and what’s on listings, including a host of free events.
You will find details of the council’s Freetown Way scheme which is due to begin in the coming weeks, the latest in the exciting Maritime project, as well as all you need to know ahead of the Simpler Recycling programme being introduced citywide in March.
There is more on the success of Hull’s first social supermarket which recently opened in Bransholme, plus improvements to two Kingswood roundabouts which are due to start next month.
There’s also the chance to win £100 in shopping vouchers.
Cllr Mike Ross, leader of Hull City Council, said: “We’re delighted to be able to bring up-to-date news to our residents through our popular council newspaper.
“There is plenty to peak our readers’ interest as we continue to make improvements to our city.
“Once more, Hull has a host of fantastic events across the coming weeks, including several free events and some for all the family.”
Hull CC News will be delivered throughout the week – so don’t panic if you haven’t had yours through the door just yet!
