Hull City Council is inviting expressions of interest from voluntary and community groups for the opportunity to occupy, develop and manage 5.3 hectares (13.07 acres) of Asset of Community Value land located at Coronation Road.
The council’s Cabinet agreed in principle to the disposal of a long-term leasehold interest in this land, subject to the land being used to support community and social purposes, as defined within s88 of the Localism Act 2011.
The council is seeking expressions of interest from organisations that can demonstrate a strong local connection and a clear vision for the sustainable use of this significant community asset.
Amongst other things, the successful body will need to submit a proposal setting out the beneficial community impact of their plans, their governance and how they will ensure a sustainable solution that is financially viable on the land.
Expressions of interest can be made now via YORtender here and will be for six-week period until 12noon on Thursday 24 October. Please quote the reference number 90997.
Further details will be available on the council’s website here.
