The annual Sea, Field and Factory Service will return to Hull Minster later this week, with the Lord Mayor attending.

Councillor Maria Coward welcomes all to the event on Sunday 11 October, starting in the historic church at 2pm.

It will be preceded by a civic procession from the Guildhall, which will depart from Hanover Square at 1:40pm.

The Lord Mayor said: “This annual occasion allows us to thank and pay tribute to those responsible for the harvest.

“It’s a great way for people to come together, in a wonderful setting, and I’m really looking forward to it.”

The Lord Mayor’s chaplain for the 2026/27 civic year is her sister, Angela, who has helped to put the service together.
