Lord Mayor to attend annual Hull Minster service

The yearly civic Sea, Field and Factory Service will return to Hull Minster later this week.

The Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull and Admiral of the Humber, Councillor Cheryl Payne, below, will attend the event, which takes place on Sunday 14 September.

Councillor Cheryl Payne is Lord Mayor for 2025/26

It will begin at 2pm, and a civic procession will go between the Minster and the Guildhall before and after.

The procession, led by the Humberside Police Band, will depart from Hanover Square at 1:40pm, and will return there following the service, which is due to finish at around 2:45pm.

The Lord Mayor said: “This important civic occasion, where all are welcome, allows us to thank those who provide the harvest for us.

“We know that we have our vital fishing heritage in Hull, but it’s also right to mark the hard work of other food producers in our area.”
