The Love Your Neighbourhood team continue to keep Hull's streets clean and safe.

Love Your Neighbourhood: Boothferry next area in line for clean-up

Hull City Council’s Love Your Neighbourhood project will be arriving in Boothferry next week.

As part of the citywide initiative, several streets within the ward will undergo a comprehensive tidy-up between Monday 4 August and Friday 15 August, leaving areas transformed and residents with an enhanced sense of pride in their community.

The streets that will be included are Southern Drive, Woodland End, Home Close, The Link, Park Lane East, Park Lane West, The Paddock, Roundway and Orchard Road.

Over the two-week period, the team will address issues such as weeds and litter, as well as carrying out general grounds maintenance, gully cleaning and street cleaning works.

It is hoped that these efforts will enhance the look and feel of the neighbourhood.

Cllr Charles Quinn, portfolio holder for environment at the council, said: “These streets have been identified as areas that would benefit from our additional resources, so we are thrilled to bring the Love Your Neighbourhood project to Boothferry.

“Our dedicated team is eager to tackle the issues highlighted and transform this neighbourhood into a cleaner and more welcoming place for residents to live and work.

“Our hope is that everyone within Boothferry will reap the benefits of this wonderful project and feel an enhanced sense of pride in their community.”

Love Your Neighbourhood is a citywide tidy-up programme designed to tackle small areas one at a time.

The team tidy each area over a two-week period, after which residents should see a noticeable difference in the look and feel of their neighbourhood.
