Have a night at the races without the worry of the weather and raise money for charity too at the Lord Mayor’s charity race evening.
The race night is being held on Thursday 10 February at the Guildhall in Hull from 7.30pm. All the proceeds will go to the Kingston upon Hull Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal Fund, which is supporting City of Hull Street Angels and Hull Help for Refugees this year.
Race goers have the opportunity of owning a ‘horse’ for the evening at the cost of £5 each. The winning owner of each race receives two bottles of wine. There is also the opportunity to sponsor one of the races for £30 per race.
Lord Mayor, Councillor Lynn Petrini, said: “This is a good chance for an enjoyable and fun night out. By coming along, people will also be helping to support very worthy local causes and I look forward to welcoming guests on the night.”
This is a ticket only event at £7.50 per person and include a pie, chip and pea supper. For tickets and more information contact the Civic Office on 01482 615 093.
