A service to mark Armistice Day will be broadcast live online tomorrow morning.
The small event at Hull’s Cenotaph will be shown on the council’s YouTube channel and will also be available to view on the news Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Starting at 10.50am, the 15 minute service will be introduced by Rev. John Hotchin and will include the Last Post, two minute silence and the laying of wreaths.
Lord Mayor, Councillor Steve Wilson, will also attend the service and said: “It is unfortunate we are unable to mark this important day as we usually would, but by screening it online, I hope the people of Hull will still feel part of the service, whilst keeping themselves, families and the community safe in these difficult times.”
The event and broadcast will begin at 10.50am on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.
Members of the public are advised not to attend the cenotaph due to the current Covid-19 restrictions on mass gatherings.
