Local organisations have been awarded grants totalling nearly £14,000 by Two Ridings Community Foundation to help support vulnerable residents and individuals who are suffering hardship as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
Two Ridings Community Foundation supports charitable organisations and groups across North and East Yorkshire.
The £14,000 being distributed in response to the coronavirus outbreak is on behalf of National Emergencies Trust (NET) and its public appeal to raise funds in partnership with the British Red Cross.
Eight organisations will benefit from the funding, including two in Hull – The Hull Phoenix Project and Hull Youth Support Trust.
The money will support vulnerable residents from meals on wheels and emergency provisions to outreach for victims of domestic violence, the self-employed and those suffering financial hardship.
If you would like to make a donation, the best way to make your money go further is by donating via The Big Give which is running a match-funding campaign over the coming month.
You can also donate via The National Emergencies Trust website.
Alternatively, if you would like to give directly to local organisations, you can do so via the Two Ridings Coronavirus Community Fund.
Two Ridings is a partner of Hull City Council, delivering grants and support throughout Hull.
