Hull’s Museums Quarter staff are urging people in the city to get festive this weekend.
The city’s Streetlife, Wilberforce House and Hull and East Riding Museums in the Old Town are starting the Christmas celebrations on Saturday 30 November from 10am to 4pm.
And festive activities at the Hands on History Museum will take place from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
Yuletide crafts will include the chance to make pomanders, articulated Father Christmases, snow globes and Roman figurines.
Visitors can meet Roman characters celebrating Saturnalia and Victorian storytellers while live music plays from Beverley Hand Bell Ringers, Hull Freedom Chorus, Hull Signing Choir and Jazz trio Manfire Music.
Have you heard about our Get Festive event on 30th November 10am-4pm?
We’ve got live music, crafts, storytelling, a face painter, the elf trail, Roman re-enactors and we’ve worked hard to make it more accessible. Please see the flyer for details! https://t.co/L0Gu1ecpzQ pic.twitter.com/TLRfKiT3vc
