Hull City Council successfully prosecuted three residents for fly-tipping in Hull.
The offenders were caught on CCTV footage carrying out the criminal acts and have all be landed with heavy fines.
Adriana Cercel of Park Avenue, Perry Street, Hull, was caught fly-tipping a mattress on CCTV in Carneige Street at 9.20pm on Saturday 2 February. She was fined a total of £515 under the Refuse Disposal (Amenity) 1978.

Last year, the council’s CCTV cameras caught Urszula Katarzyna Szynal and Jan Michel Szynal, both of Perry Street, Hull, dumping a sofa at the corner of Carnegie Street, in the early hours of the morning.
The pair were captured carrying the sofa before placing it on the street corner at 4.37am on Friday 28 December last year. Mr Szynal was ordered to pay £405 and Mrs Szynal was ordered to pay £374.00.

Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for waste management at Hull City Council, said: “Everyone plays a role in looking after our environment and helping to tackle fly-tipping and by taking a tough stance on enforcement, we can deter any potential offenders.
“We will prosecute, and when convicted we will name and shame in the hope that we can stamp out this anti-social behaviour.
“We encourage members of the public not to shrink from reporting any perpetrators they see.”
