Records kept by a Hull maritime society are to be protected by staff at the Hull History Centre.
The Humber Keel and Sloop Preservation Society, a group of enthusiasts dedicated to preserving two typical Humber sailing vessels, is to deposit its archives at the centre.
The society, which sails the Humber keel Comrade and the sloop Amy Howson, wants to ensure the records of its activities are preserved for future generations.
They hope it will lead to more members of the public engaging with the regions maritime history.
City archivist Martin Taylor said: We are grateful to the society for its commitment to preserving an important part of Hulls seafaring past.
The records will be presented to History Centre staff on Tuesday 5 June.
