Carriageway repairs between Cumbrian Way Roundabout and Bude Road Roundabout will start on Monday 26 March for two weeks.
The emergency access road between Kesteven Way roundabout and Bude Road will be open to traffic, and lights will be installed at the Bude Road end of the link road to manage traffic flow.
Councillor Alan Clark, portfolio Holder for Highways, said:
We are scheduling these repairs for the Easter holidays in order to try and minimise disruption to motorists.
The closures are essential so that works can be carried out efficiently in order to improve the condition of the road, and ensure the highway provides a safe and even surface for traffic with adequate grip and skid resistance.
We ask that motorists are patient and apologise in advance for any disruption caused during the period of the works.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed for motorists.
