Hull City Council is beginning a pilot frontage improvement scheme on De Grey Street, marking the next step in the city’s Priority Streets Programme.
The pilot will deliver improvements to 19 properties, ahead of the wider scheme planned for the street.
Planned works include improvements to front boundaries and garden areas, replacement of rainwater goods, redecoration of property frontages, and upgrades to communal footpaths serving court terraces.
De Grey Street was identified as an early priority for frontage improvements following assessment of streets across the city.
The pilot forms part of the wider Priority Streets Programme, which targets streets most in need of investment to improve housing conditions and neighbourhood appearance. Later phases of work are planned for Grafton Street, Princes Road and Lambert Street.
Residents and property owners affected by the pilot scheme will be contacted directly with details of the works and timescales.
