Building Affordable Homes for Hull: Dane Park & Isledane

Hull City Council is continuing its commitment to delivering high-quality, affordable housing in priority regeneration areas. Two major schemes are currently underway: Dane Park and Isledane—both designed to provide modern, energy-efficient homes for local families.

Dane Park – 99 New Homes

On the former site of Dane Park Primary School, we’re creating 99 new council rental homes. These will include a mix of 1, 2, 3, and 4-bedroom houses, all fitted with Air Source Heat Pumps and solar PV panels to help reduce energy costs for tenants.

To protect against flood risk, the development includes:

  • Raised site levels
  • Attenuation tanks
  • Surface drainage systems
  • Flood doors on all homes

The first tenants will move in December 2025, with phased handovers throughout 2026 and full completion by the end of the year.

Isledane – 34 New Homes

The Isledane scheme will deliver 34 council rental homes, also featuring a mix of 1 to 4-bedroom houses with the same energy-saving technology. Built on land previously occupied by council homes, this development will further strengthen Hull’s affordable housing offer.

Construction began in August 2025, with all homes scheduled for completion by mid-2027. We’ll share updates on handover dates as the project progresses.

Why These Developments Matter

Both schemes are part of Hull City Council’s wider regeneration strategy, ensuring residents have access to safe, sustainable, and affordable homes. By incorporating renewable energy systems and robust flood protection measures, these projects are designed for long-term resilience and lower running costs.

Stay tuned for updates on these exciting developments as we continue to build a better future for Hull.
