A month of Christmas markets in Hull city centre kick off this weekend with the first taking place in Zebedees Yard.
The Hull Christmas Festival will include a traditional Christmas market, food and drink stalls, and stage entertainment for all the family. Street performers and free face painting will also be on offer throughout the day.
Running 10am – 6pm, stalls will include a range of handmade products and Christmas gifts, hot and cold food and crafts.
The Boogie Bugle Babes will take to the stage alongside DJ Addy, providing festive entertainment throughout the day.
Councillor Rob Pritchard, portfolio holder for culture and leisure said: “Now the festive season has officially begun following last week’s Christmas lights switch-on, this festival is another fantastic reason to visit the city centre.
“We have a fantastic selection of Christmas markets taking place every weekend through December, helping us all not only find something festive to do, but also shop local for gifts for family and family.
“Hull city centre really is the place to be this December!”
Following this weekend, themed markets will run in Trinity Square every Saturday (7, 14 and 21 December), all with free face painting and street theatre on offer. These markets will run 11am to 4pm.
