Hull City Council is undertaking essential carriageway resurfacing works in Hopewell Road and Amethyst Road from Monday 8 January Friday 16 February.
The work will be split into three phases to minimise disruption and will be undertaken from Monday to Saturday, 7.30am 5.30pm.
Drainage works will be carried out under temporary traffic lights, and the resurfacing work will take place under a road closure, with access for residents where possible.
Phase one:
Monday 8 Saturday 13 January, improvement of the drainage system will be carried out along the full length of Hopewell Road under temporary traffic lights.
Phase two:
Monday 15 Thursday 25 January, carriageway resurfacing will be carried out on the Hopewell Road/Staveley Road roundabout under a road closure and diversion.
Phase three:
Friday 26 Friday 16 February, repairs will be carried out to Amethyst Road under a road closure and diversion.
Councillor Alan Clark, Portfolio Holder with responsibility for Streetscene, said:
The closures are essential so that works can be carried out efficiently in order to improve the condition of the road, and ensure the highway provides a safe and even surface for traffic with adequate grip and skid resistance.
We ask that motorists are patient and apologise in advance for any disruption caused during the period of the works.
Advance warning signs will be displayed for motorists and access will be maintained at all times for emergency service vehicles, however scheduled bus services will be diverted during the hours of the closures.
