Businesspeople are urged to arrive suited and booted and show their drive and determination at Hull City Council’s exhibit at The Business Day 2023.
In addition to representatives from Hull Training and Adult Education (HTAE) and the council’s Employment Hub, members of Hull Karting will also be in attendance.
As part of the display, a small karting track will be in place outside of the host venue, Bridlington Spa.
Visitors on the day will be given the chance to put their racing skills to the test on Friday 9 June as Hull Karting launches its corporate packages at the annual event.
Hull Karting is the biggest and best all-weather purpose-built karting circuit in Yorkshire and now provides corporate team bonding packages, complete with an on-track session, lunch break and high ropes experience.
Its track is over 650 metres long and there are a range of karts from 160cc to 200cc for juniors and adults in ‘Book & Drive’ sessions, through to a race fleet of 270cc karts for adult races (age 14+) capable of nearly 45mph on the straights.
If you have always wanted to experience the thrill of real motor racing, then why not have a taster at The Business Day 2023?
Cllr Mike Ross, leader of Hull City Council, said: “The Business Day is a unique day in which we can showcase our city to the rest of the Humber region and the council is delighted to be a main sponsor.
“We are celebrating both our HTAE and Employment Hub, both of which have received recent success in terms of apprenticeship provision and supporting people into employment, as well as our brilliant Hull Karting facility.
“To be able to provide such an exhilarating activity as karting at Bridlington Spa will no doubt prove a huge hit and is an exciting way to launch our corporate packages.”
In 2022, HTAE was inspected by Ofsted and given an overall rating of good at a time when many are rated as requiring improvement.
The Employment Hub offers a range of support including CV writing, interview tips and techniques, support and guidance on job searching and advice and guidance on barriers into work.
It recently partnered with Siemens Gamesa to host a bespoke recruitment drive, welcoming around 1,000 prospective employees as Siemens Gamesa, the world’s leader in offshore wind industry, looked to fill up to 300 new employees at its new factory on Alexandra Dock in Hull.
