Hull families looking for some free festive fun can enjoy a host of events over the next two weekends.
Trinity Market, Trinity Square, Hepworth Arcade and Hull Minster, supported by Hull City Council, are all hosting a series of seasonal treats for all the family.
This Saturday, 10 December, sees Victorian Kitsch-Mas, a fantastic Christmas Victorian Market, with a wide selection of stalls and horse and cart rides, in Trinity Square and the Minster.
Whilst in Trinity Market, visitors can enjoy entertainment from carol singers, Hull Urban Opera and spectacular acrobat Lollipop.
There are also adult and children’s workshops across the weekend, including Santa’s Workshop and Storytime with Jingles the reindeer in Hepworth Arcade on Sunday 11 December, whilst the Best of Bublé will perform in Trinity Market.
Shops and stall holders in the area will also be open for visitors to sample.
Councillor Paul Drake-Davis, portfolio holder for Regeneration, said: “These events will really help families get into the festive spirit.
“It is a fantastic opportunity to show the people of Hull what we have and what we can bring to the city.
“In what is a difficult time for many, the fact that many of these events are completely free means they are wholly inclusive and that everyone can join in the fun.”
The fun doesn’t stop this weekend, with harpist Stephanie Halsey performing a range of Christmas classics and pop songs on Saturday 17 December, followed by Gemma La Voce who boasts a stunning voice with unique versatility, as well as additional workshops and more continuing until Sunday 18 December.
