Hull City Council’s ambitious, city-wide housing growth programme continues to generate momentum.

Building work, is well underway at Wawne View and the Ings regeneration programme (off Bellfield Road) to deliver new infrastructure including roads and services. The new infrastructure will unlock additional on the two developments. At Wawme, the new roads and sewers will open up phase two of the development and at Ings there will be major service diversions, a new spine road and a new junction onto Bellfield Road.

Both schemes have seen the successful delivery of modern new homes in recent years and the installation of this new infrastructure will enable a further 1160 homes to be built in future years. The new homes will be a mix of market sale and affordable housing. The developers involved are Keepmoat Homes and Strata Homes at Wawne View and Lovell Partnerships and Compendium Living at Ings

The project has been supported with £4.8m from the Government’s Getting Building Fund, which is being managed by HEY LEP, as part of the Government’s commitment to the Northern Powerhouse for investment in infrastructure projects to create jobs and support economic recovery.
