Lord Mayor to host charity music quiz

The Lord Mayor of Hull and Admiral of the Humber is to host a charity music quiz.

The always popular event will be held in the magnificent Banqueting Hall at the Guildhall on Tuesday 1 October 2024, getting underway at 7pm.

Entry costs £12.50 per person, with a maximum of 6 people per team.

A supper of pie, chips and peas will be served, with a vegetarian option available.

The Lord Mayor, Councillor Mark Collinson, said: “My record collection stops around 1983 and my memory for names is terrible, so I wouldn’t think I’ll be winning this one.

“Fortunately, I do like pies!

“It should be a wonderful occasion, and I encourage people to come along for what should be a fun evening.”

All proceeds will go to the Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal Fund, which is this year supporting Hull and East Yorkshire Children’s University and Cruse Bereavement Support.

Entries are on a first come first served basis, and an entry form must be completed.

Entry forms are available from the Civic Office on 01482 615 093, or email civic.office@hullcc.gov.uk.
