Trinity Market is gearing up for the return of free Christmas performances every Saturday on the run up to Christmas.
Santa Claus Showtime, will take place every Saturday, starting on the 23 November, running up to the 21 December. The show will be presented by Redland Events in collaboration with Hull City Council and Trinity Market.
Following the success of last year’s event, which delighted families from Hull and beyond, this year’s show promises even more festive fun. With Santa Claus excited to make his return, visitors can expect a stocking full of songs, games and yuletide cheer.
Starring Santa, Mrs Claus and their team of playful elves, each performance will feature a mix of original songs, holiday classics and interactive games that will have children singing and dancing along. After the show, families can join a treasure hunt around Trinity Market, where they’ll search for hidden Christmas clues and win sweet rewards.
Councillor Rob Pritchard, portfolio holder for culture and leisure at Hull City Council said: “It’s fantastic to be able to offer this event to families for free, thanks to the support of the council. We saw how much joy it brought last year, and Santa and his team are just as excited as we are to bring the magic back to Trinity Market. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy some festive fun at no cost, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone there.”
Santa himself shared his excitement: “I’m absolutely delighted to be coming back to Hull! The warmth and festive spirit of the people here is something truly special, and it holds a very dear place in my heart. Mrs Claus, the elves and I have plenty of new songs and surprises, and we’re looking forward to sharing them with all the wonderful people of Hull and the East Riding.”
In addition to the Santa Claus Showtime, Trinity Market will be filled with magical fun. Visitors can enjoy attractions like a festive photo booth and roaming Christmas characters. Local vendors will also be offering delicious food and unique gifts, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Families are encouraged to mark their calendars and look out for free tickets, which will be available from the first week of November via Eventbrite. With several performances scheduled each Saturday, it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a magical Christmas experience at no cost.
