Billy and Toni have given a loving home to lots of children over the 13 years they have been foster carers with Hull Fostering.
They have provided a home for sibling groups of two, three and four children and moved children on to adoption, long-term foster care and to family members both abroad and in Hull.
Billy and Toni still see lots of the children they have cared for, they keep in touch with four children and their grandma who now carers for them and moved down south, and they still see many of the children who are now living with their new families after adoption.
Billy and Toni work really well with adopters and put them at ease with their calm and friendly approach.
Toni recently received a Mother’s Day card from a child saying ‘thank you for being my foster mummy for a short time’.
Fostering social worker Elaine said, “Billy and Toni, along with their children and family members are a real ‘fostering family’. Children are made to feel part of the whole family by everyone and are given lots of love from everyone.
“Billy and Toni are great to work with, they are flexible and work well with parents. At Christmas they received a present from a birth mum thanking them for looking after her child and ‘helping him to grow’. The progress that the children make in their care is so rewarding for them, they always feel sad to see children move on but are always happy to have been an important part of their lives and feel proud of them when they see how well they are doing.
“They are so child focused, helping children to develop new skills and enjoy life. The house is never quiet and never without toys taking up lots of room!! They have bags and bags of patience and are really valued by Hull Fostering.”
Billy and Toni have cared for a total 28 children and young people since 2010 and have made such a difference to so many children’s lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you continue to do for our children.
