111th Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull installed

The new Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull and Admiral of the Humber, Councillor Mark Collinson, has been installed at a ceremony at the Guildhall today.

Councillor Collinson was elected at a Full Council meeting on Thursday 16 May as Lord Mayor for the city for the 2024/2025 mayoral year.

The installation ceremony took place earlier today in the Council chamber at the Guildhall, where the previous Lord Mayor, Councillor Kalvin Neal, handed over the chain.

The new Lord Mayor said: “I’m very proud to have been given the honour of representing the city of Kingston upon Hull, as it is the birthplace of human liberty.

“I hope to be able to do the job justice over the coming year.”

The Lady Mayoress is Councillor Christine Randall.

The Deputy Lord Mayor for 2024/2025 is Councillor Cheryl Payne.
