A service will be held next month to remember those who died in Hull during the Second World War.
The Citizens Air Raid Memorial Service commemorates all civilian life lost, as well as paying tribute to emergency service personnel.
Hull suffered 82 major air attacks between 1939-45, with over 1,200 civilian fatalities.
The service particularly pays tribute to the hundreds who died during heavy bombing between 7 and 9 May 1941.
This year’s commemorative service will be held at the Memorial Cenotaph within Northern Cemetery on Tuesday 7 May, beginning at 2pm.
It is open to all, and will be led by the Reverend Stephen Whaley.
In 2023, a new memorial and remembrance area was revealed to commemorate the 300-plus men, women and children buried in unmarked mass graves in Northern Cemetery.
The feature also honours all of the volunteers who came forward to help emergency services.
