Residents in the Bricknell ward have the opportunity to go to the polls today in a city council by-election.
The candidates in today’s by-election are:
- John Fareham (Conservative)
- Sharon Hofman (Labour)
- Lucy Lennon (Liberal Democrats)
- Kevin Paulson (Green)
- James Steele (Yorkshire)
The ward has 6,052 registered voters. It covers an area from Newland Park to Bricknell Avenue, National Avenue and part of County Road North.
Polling stations will be open between 7am and 10pm and voters will be required to bring a valid form pf photographic ID or a Voter Authority Certificate in order to cast their vote. Valid forms of ID can be found here.
The count will take place immediately after polls close, in the Guildhall.
