A short section of Beverley Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction from next week.
From Sunday 22 May, emergency work will be carried out to repair two gully connections that are in danger of collapse between Trafalgar Street and Leonard Street. This work is expected to last seven days.

From Monday 30 May, protective hoardings will be re-erected between Norfolk Street and Trafalgar Street to allow work to continue on the Brunswick Arcade restoration project.
Andy Bell, Head of Highways Infrastructure at Hull City Council, said: “We had hoped to be able to delay the gully works until next year, but we believe a collapse is imminent.
“From observations on site, the carriageway can be seen to flex quite badly when HGVs and buses pass across the gullies.
“Carrying out these emergency works now will ensure the road remains safe for all highway users.”
