Live orchestral music heading to Hull on a double-decker bus

Back to Ours, a Hull-based Arts Council England NPO charity known for delivering unique arts and cultural experiences, has announce the launch of a brand-new event.

Now That’s What I Call an Orchestra will take place across the weekend of Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September, bringing live orchestral music directly to the streets of Hull.

The event is in partnership with Eclectic Music, and is part-funded by Hull City Council.

Both days, the orchestra will travel around the city on a double-decker bus, making stops at various locations along the way to perform an hour of live eclectic orchestral music.

The special event is entirely free—no tickets needed—so people can just turn-up and join in the fun, as familiar faces from the city’s neighbourhoods come together to celebrate the power of music.

Louise Yates, Artistic Director and CEO of Back to Ours, said: “We take pride in our hyper-local approach and we are embedded in our communities. Our events are always about people coming together, experiencing something special and importantly, having a good time.

“Seeing crowds gather with smiles on their faces never gets old, it always warms my heart.”
