Hull City Council has launched the second round of public engagement sessions to help shape phase one of its Community Highstreets project.
The citywide scheme targets local and neighbourhood centres across Hull as it aims to reinvigorate high streets through enhancing quality of place, environmental performance, accessibility, community services and satisfaction, footfall and commercial spend, as well as reduce shop vacancy rates.
The council earmarked a major investment of £6 million for improvement works on high streets across the city with 16 locations identified for enhancements.
The aim of the latest round of engagement, which can be done either online or in-person, is to provide residents, business owners and the public the opportunity to have their say and input on the outcomes of this grassroots and community-led project.
The plans have been shaped around feedback from successful public engagement sessions held earlier this year and will run from today (Monday 18 August) until Friday 24th October.
Those who complete the survey and register their details will be entered into a prize draw.
Prizes including behind the scenes visits to Hull Maritime Attractions, plus Love2Shop gift cards of up to £100.
The draw will be held one week after the close of the survey and the three randomly selected winners will be contacted on 31 October with details of their prize.

“This is a community-led project and the council has already had fantastic community buy in from residents and businesses alike.
“From that, the mini masterplan has adapted as a result and we look forward to sharing that and hearing more opinions of the public during this latest round of engagement.
“The council wants to create sustainable neighbourhoods and resilient communities and this project is just the start of that.”
