Families across the city have received their children’s primary school place allocation for September.
In Hull, 97.7 per cent of parents have received one of their preferred schools, with 93.3 per cent of families obtaining their first preference.
Over 80 per cent of parents applied using the council’s online service, and they will have received an email confirming their allocation today. Every family will receive a letter by first class post. Any parent who did not get their preferred school will be offered the right of appeal, and forms and guidance will be included within the letters sent today.
Councillor Peter Clark, portfolio holder for learning, skills and safeguarding children, said: “I’m pleased almost 98 per cent of families have been allocated one of their preferred school options, as we look forward to delivering education to all of the city’s children once this unprecedented time is over.”
3,314 Hull pupils have been allocated places across 71 primary schools.
