Free family fun day to celebrate new Family Hub

A free family fun day will take place at the Parks Family Hub tomorrow.

The event, which is a celebration of The Parks Children’s Centre becoming one of the first Family Hub’s in Hull, will see a host of free family activities, with bouncy castles, face-painting, rock climbing and soft play.

Several of the council’s partners will also be in attendance, providing information on their services, including Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, Hull Truck, Hull Central Library, Hull Maternity Voices Partnership, Homestart, and the NHS.

Councillor Linda Tock, Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services said: “We are delighted to invite all Hull residents to join us for this free family fun day.

“This is a great opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities, games and entertainment with family and friends, whilst also finding out more information about the Council’s partners and what the Family Hub has to offer.

“We hope to see as many people as possible at the event, to celebrate both the community and the opening of this fantastic new hub.”

The free event will take place on Wednesday 16 August from 11am to 2pm.
