Nyree became a foster carer 18 years ago, with Dean joining our fostering community within the last four years.
Their fostering social worker, Diana, said, “Nyree and Dean are very child-centred, open, honest, therapeutic foster carers with abundant patience and skills.
“Nyree has been a foster carer a bit longer than Dean; however, Dean has been amazing since he was approved. He has been hands-on from the start. They are an excellent team.
“Nyree has a special guardianship order for a teenager she has cared for for many years and is currently taking another SGO out for a second child in her care to give the lifelong stability they need.
“The couple care for children and young people ranging from birth to 18 years old and accept emergency care, siblings, children with special needs and children from different nationalities and languages.
“I feel privileged as their fostering social worker to be able to support them. Nyree and Dean are amazing foster carers.”
