One of the UK’s most popular stand-up comedians is coming to Hull next month.
Ben Elton will bring his self-proclaimed “searing, scintillating, savagely hilarious” new show to Hull City Hall on Tuesday 8 October.
It is the first tour for 15 years for the legendary comedian and writer, who co-penned TV programmes including Blackadder and The Young Ones.
His new show promises to try to make sense of a world he says has gone “completely raving tonto” before “we are all going to hell in a non-reusable plastic container”.

Known for his distinctive perspective on modern life, he said of his new show: “The last time I toured I was still smarter than my phone. Things have definitely taken a funny turn.”
