Ferens Art Gallery will be opening its doors after dark next week for Ferens Late, a programme of events aimed at encouraging younger audiences to the gallery.
The event, on Thursday 19 March from 7pm to 9pm, will see artists from this year’s Open exhibition discuss their work, in conversation with local art studios and creatives.
Ferens Late is a co-production between Ferens Art Gallery and Future Ferens, a group of young creatives aged between 16 and 25.
We can’t wait to see what Hull Dance have planned for our upcoming Ferens Late.
They will be responding to artworks in our current 2020 Open exhibition, transforming our gallery spaces for one night only. https://t.co/YVozdamVbB

Councillor Marjorie Brabazon, chair of Hull Culture and Leisure, said: “Ferens Art Gallery is a special place and we want to make sure that we are making it accessible and inviting for all audiences.
“These Ferens Late events are a fantastic way of encouraging younger people to explore the gallery and also, through Future Ferens, encourage young people to use the gallery to explore their own art and interests.”
The event is free and you can find out more here.
It is supported by Friends of the Ferens.
