The Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull and Admiral of the Humber Councillor Kalvin Neal will visit the new Hull4Ukraine base at 16 Whitefriargate in Hull city centre on Saturday 10th June, at 11am.
Hull4Ukraine is a community group that has been active in the city supporting the people of Ukraine following the invasion in 2022.
The group is urgently seeking aid for people in the Kherson area, where many have lost their homes due to flooding, and very sadly some people have died.
Hull4Ukraine is intending to send a 24-foot lorry to Ukraine later this month and is asking for help with collecting the following items:
- Sleeping bags and inflatable beds
- Sanitary items and personal hygiene products
- Basic medicines and wet wipes
- Water purification tablets
- Towels
- Underwear and socks
- Pet food
- Long shelf food
- Portable gas stoves and generators
More information on where and when to donate can be found at Hull4Ukraine

The Lord Mayor said: “Thousands of people have had to be evacuated from their homes in southern Ukraine following the destruction of the dam along the Dnipro river.
“The full scale of the disaster is not yet clear, but the consequence of the flooding is likely to be felt for years.
“Anything that can be donated will make a huge difference to those affected, and I thank Hull’s community and voluntary organisations who are doing so much to support those in this crisis”.
