Hull Karting aiming for pole position at International Rental Karting Awards

Hull Karting will aim to be on the top step of the podium next month after it was nominated for three International Rental Karting Awards.

The Poorhouse Lane facility in East Hull has been successfully shortlisted for the Innovation Award, Getting Things Done Award and Best Customer Experience Award.

The awards presentation evening will take place on Wednesday 7 February at the Fastline Karting Spectacular 2024, which this year is being held at AC Hotels Marriott Sant Cugat in Barcelona.

Hull Karting, part of the new Hull Adventure Centre experience, will be up against rival tracks from countries such as Australia, Norway, the USA and the UAE.

Hull Karting is the only local authority-owned facility shortlisted for an award.

Cllr Paul Drake-Davis, portfolio holder for regeneration at Hull City Council, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Hull Karting to have been nominated for not just one, but three, International Rental Karting Awards.

“For the rest of the nominees to all be privately-owned tracks from around the world speaks volumes for the work done by those who work at the facility, which is part of the Hull Adventure Centre.

“Hull Karting is a modern, viable community asset enjoyed by both residents and visitors to the city, catering for a wide audience and these nominations show what a great resource it is.

“I will have my fingers crossed for them that they take home the top prize next month!”
