Hull’s first Christmas Tree Festival is now open at Hull Minster.
The Lord Mayor, Councillor Steve Wilson opened the festival alongside Bishop Alan White, the Veterans’ Choir and a piper.

Of 25 trees entered for display, judges named Ganton School’s tree the best and the team behind it will be invited for afternoon tea in the Lord Mayor’s Parlour.
The event, sponsored by Allamhouse Ltd, Dunston Ship Repairs, Hull Bullnose, KWL, Pat and Ray Hawker and Hull Trinity House, raised more than £500 for the Lord Mayor’s charities.

The trees will be on display every day from 10am to 4pm until Sunday 8 December.
