Budding entrepreneurs are invited to a full day of free inspirational talks and practical sessions at Hull Central Library as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week.
Those thinking about or wanting more information about starting their own business are invited to Start-Up Day on Tuesday 19 November.
Visitors will hear of start-up stories of local businesses, including industry leaders such as Charlie Bigham and the inspiring story of how Hull-born architect, Julian Hakes, launched a global fashion footwear business.
There will also be the opportunity to participate in speed mentoring sessions with business experts before leaving full of ideas and knowledge about how and where to find practical resources to help progress your business ideas.
Cllr Paul Drake-Davis, Hull City Council’s portfolio holder for regeneration, said: “Global Entrepreneurship Week is something the council looks forward to each year.
“It is pleasing that the council can host this free event at Hull Central Library to support those thinking of starting their own business.
Start-Up Day, which runs from 9:30am to 5pm, is part of Global Entrepreneurship Week which runs from 18-22 November and is in partnership with British Library and Business and Intellectual Property Centre Network.
