The annual Lord Mayor At Home event is to take place again in Hull later this month.
The Lord Mayor and Admiral of the Humber, Councillor Mark Collinson, extends an invitation to all to meet him in the magnificent Banqueting Hall at the Guildhall on Saturday 19 October from 10:30am to 12pm.
The event is free and is a chance to enjoy a cuppa and some cake in the company of the Lord Mayor, as well as the Lady Mayoress, Councillor Christine Randall.
There will also be the chance to raise money for the Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal Fund, which is this year benefitting Hull and East Yorkshire Children’s University and Cruse Bereavement Support.
Products from the traditional plant display, sponsored again this year by KWL, will be sold off, with proceeds going to the Lord Mayor’s chosen good causes.
The Lord Mayor said: “This is a nice opportunity to see the Guildhall interior, meet the Lady Mayoress and myself, sample the food, and pick up some plants.
“We’ve had to do the event later than usual this year because of the General Election in the summer, so the plant displays will be a bit different from usual – but should still be very impressive.”
Tickets are available free of charge from the Civic Office on 01482 615 093 or via civic.office@hullcc.gov.uk.
