This week, Hull City Council hosted an event at the Guildhall, in partnership with Hull Local Offer, to provide opportunities for local young people in the city.
The local service provides information, support and guidance to young people with special educational needs or disabilities living in in the city.
The marketplace style event for young people with an EHCP (education, health and care plans) and their families presented those are starting to think about transition options for post-16 learning opportunities.
Speaking at the event yesterday, Fiona Arnott, Transition Manager at Hull City Council told us more:
“It’s a preparation for adulthood and post-16 options event for young people from Hull with education, health and care plans.”
“We’ve also got a range of different providers here today – education and training providers, as well as agencies supporting young people with transition.”
